The forestry 'assets' were there long before Gunns changed them forever by clear felling and mono culture to maximise returns for their company.
We need to learn from the mistake of allowing this to happen, although some brave souls put their lives on the line to try to stop it.
We also need to bring to heel those who are responsible for inflicting a virtual regime of terror on anyone who opposed them, both company and political.

The answer to the shortage of resources, power and growing consumption is to reduce the global population rather than destroy the planet by plague of Homo Sapiens.
