I've been through this a couple of years ago. After BS'ing to them for a while, and giving them false info, they rang me back a couple of days later to see if I had deposited money into Western Union at my local PO.
I had all their details and phone number, etc, contacted police, fair trading, asic, etc, but because from an overseas site, nothing seemed to be able to be done about it.
These scams should have been cleaned up a long time ago.
I'm sure if there had been the mention of the words, politician or bomb, there would have been different response from authorities.
