Centro Properties Group US Names Warren Strietzel Senior Vice President, Midwest Region

Centro Properties Group US (the "Company") today announced the appointment of Warren Strietzel, age 53, to Senior Vice President, Midwest Region. As Senior Vice President, Midwest region, he will oversee the leasing, property management, legal and construction aspects of over 80 community and neighborhood shopping centers totaling approximately 13.8 million square feet across five states including Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia (a complete property listing is below). Supporting Mr. Strietzel's efforts are more than 40 experienced real estate professionals located in the Company's Midwest regional office in Farmington Hills, Michigan (Detroit metro market).


Centro is the largest owner of community and neighborhood shopping centers in the region. The Company's Midwest portfolio is anchored by a mix of top grocers including Kroger, Giant Eagle and Spartan stores, as well as by other dominant retailers including T.J. Maxx, Wal-Mart, Dunham's Sports, Best Buy and Dollar Tree. Over the past ten years, Centro and its predecessor companies has redeveloped more than 40 properties in the region, investing approximately $140 million of capital in these properties.


Most recently, Mr. Strietzel was Vice President, Property Management of the Company's Southeast Region, overseeing the operations of 16.5 million square feet of community and neighborhood shopping centers. Mr. Strietzel first joined the Company's in December 2002 as part of New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Inc., prior to its acquisition by Centro Properties Group in April 2007. He was previously a Regional Vice President at Equity Investment Group overseeing nine million square feet of shopping centers throughout the Southwest and Eastern United States.


Mr. Strietzel holds a Senior Level Certified Shopping Centre Manager and a Certified Commercial Investment Member designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers and has been involved in the shopping centre industry for over 29 years.
