The hinokitiol Zinc combo ANO have is based on the principle that if you can get Zinc into cells, you can slow / stop the virus from replicating and allow it to fight back. This study suggests that kind of treatment would be effective. And ANO can do it without the side effects of hydroxychloroquine, in an oral application that is easier to use and administer compared to other intravenous treatments.
The key part for ANO is:

That is why studies using only Hydroxychloroquine have so far come back as ineffective. They lack Zinc.
