Securities lending is the financial term of this transaction. It means that CS (or a client) borrowed the shares from someone against collateral. Normally, the borrower sells the shares in order to buy it back for a cheaper price, which is obviously not the case.
I suppose someone needs some additional shares for voting. Another reason might be a hidden buy declared as a lending transaction, in order to be compliant with legal restrictions.
