It appears that Patersons Securities issued 81 million shares of the total shortfall of 324 million shares to Melbourne Capital Ltd.
I assume that Melbourne Capital Ltd may be a sub-underwriter, but I'm not sure of this. But either way, they have been a shareholder for 12 months and initially bought 10 million shares in 2008 at ten times the price of what they paid for the shortfall.
Melbourne Capital Ltd also received their entitlement of 10 million shares as they are an existing shareholder. What does all this mean? Well, if they are in for the long term, I hope they give the existing management a bit of a shake up.
