The last time AXM touched $1.00 was Jan 08 with the POG was AU$950 about the same amount it cost for AXM to produce an ounce of gold!
Today, even following a massive correction, the AU POG is AU$1675, changing the game entirely.
So quite clearly, this so-called "rhetoric" could not have been applicable in Jan 08...if you think it is then there lies your problem...!
Those (institutions) who invested in AXM in Jan 08 did so for entirely different reasons than those investing today...
Today you have a surging POG, no hedging, no debt, and a falling $AU, in Jan 08 you had none of the above not to mention no actual gold PRODUCTION!
