I do think that the Brit's might secretly regret removing the trams from London though as they've got those horrendous pay to drive your car around roads in London systems in place now- like sections of our freeways where you have to pay to drive on them, only it's awfully slow congested roads around old London.

Hmm, and I still think the Vic government getting rid of the W class trams in the manner they did was a massive mistake- there are cities all around the planet that could benefit from buying and installing the old W trams- Vic sold a few to San Francisco about 20 or so years ago and they turned them into cable cars, which bring in the tourists. The old greens had class and style while the new super bee trams just have racist bogans on them.

Worked on MMTB trams in the early 60's. Fun times. Getting rid of conductors was their first big mistake. Taking the W class off the tracks was their second. Glad I'm not a driver of the current air-conditioned monsters.
