Life cycle of a hot copper speculative investor
Day 1: Euphoria. Buy stock
Day 2: Excitement. Watch hourly the trades going through with nervous excitement.
Day 3: Distraction. Forget they own the stock.
Day 4: Nervous. Stock is down 5-10%. Question if they bought at the wrong time and if this was a bad investment.
Day 5: Panic. Concerned that the projected 20% growth in 5 days has not materialised.
Day 6: Fear. Considering the reality if they sell now they will have cash losses.
Day 7: Loathing. Blame the CEO/ demand immediate updates of positive and price sensitive news
Day 8: Rationalisation. Their investment plan has not played out, another stock they are euphoric about. Sell.
Day 9-100: Vitriol Catharsis. Down ramp the company/ CEO/ Sales figures. Hope to see the price drop to lighten the sinking feeling of lost money in the hope it will be replaced by relief they sold before more losses were incurred.
Day 101: FOMO. Their original thesis proves right and the stock makes a big jump. They realise they were right in the first place and need to get back on board.
