I agree with you flash. TA in some ways though is a self fulfilling method that informs traders and some investors decisions. Even though the quantity held in an ETF might not be large (relatively), the ETFs price action is an indication of the performance of selected Li related peers and can reflect sentiment of the sector - just as shorts in PLS (or even LTR) do.

However, I agree with you in that it should not be the singular tool to understanding how a specific stock is performing. One clear picture LIT and REMX is painting is that the sector is under pressure which we know due to falling spot prices over the last year.
I think there is a reasonably clear correlation between the ETF and LTR performance other than the divergence in 2023.
