One of the reasons years back that we fought so hard for "charting" threads was so discussion could take place relatively free of holding bias and/or biased opinions. There was a great thread that ran for years in the Education forum which was a gem of a place that covered a lot of different opinions on many stocks. Should try and resurrect it one day but I think it would get invaded now.
You are right though, not all patterns fulfill, in fact some are in a minority but they are worthwhile keeping an eye on.
