Lithium is cheap at double, triple the price, thats why it won't be engineered out.
The battery (fuel tank), is basically giving you the potential (if you have solar PV at home or free mains at work) the chance to fuel up for free most of the time.
No going into the stinky servo, worrying about cheap Monday fuel, everyday is cheap Monday!
With Evs almost no maintenance... its gonna be huge.
Once a product gets to the point you feel like an dinosaur having the old tech (Norway is already at that point with over 50 percent new car sales EVs) or remember your old Nokia dumb phone, who has those now? Anyway when it gets to a point they are getting common then its an exponential curve.
At that point the old ICE is gone, too inefficient....
Australia is a bit behind the rest of the world but the vast volume of Lithium is being gobbled by the rest of the world so doesn't matter so much in that regard.
Just the demand from E buses alone in China could consume double what LTR will produce. And I think we will grow to be one of the Australian majors in the space.
But one step at a time..... patience grasshopper patience! Ha ha!
