Yep - if I were invested here - I would be coming from a place of fear.
Buffered fear if my average price was under 40c, but raw fear if I had bought shares at a dollar or higher and already averaged down.
When I was a child this old politician from Queensland would come on the TV every now and then and, when asked a question he did not like, his answer would be “Don’t you worry about that now”.
When I inherited some money a while back I went to a financial advisor and he said he would invest in shares for me so as to create a balanced portfolio.
When I said what seemed logical; ‘should we wait for a downturn in the market before buying them’
He effectively said ‘don’t you worry about that now’ and pointed to how the trend of the overall market is to ride out any dips and then climb higher.
I didn’t put all my money with him because I decided I was smart enough to do my own research and make my own investments as well.
Along the way I followed ‘guru’ after HC ‘guru’; My portfolio was littered with shares bought via my own research plus trusting the confidence of heart status HC members whose knowledgeable sounding assurances were much-liked by others who clearly knew more than me.
And I lost money and failed at being a smart investor in every way possible except for at one lucky stock with some quietly brilliant posters who accepted my juvenile status and eagerness to learn and offered lessons.
Like the one on Magellan’s seven biases that I have now shared five times.
Do I trust people like anatol because he has a heart badge and more than a hundred devotees?
Especially when he lies about my motives here?
No I don’t .
And ‘don’t you worry about that now’ Daisy who tells people to put me on ignore?
No I don’t.
I know the people dominating these threads were mostly in underv10c a share and are no way even near even ‘buffered fear’.
These people are NOT my investment advisors!
Noone here is!
But the people I do take heed of, and hold very dearly, are those I have studied over a long time, HalfHalo.
