Triple bottom breakout on increasing volume with momentum turning in our favour? That's the optimist in me coming out:
We need spod prices to continue to improve.
What I can't figure out is how the Chinese STILL seem to have so much inventory, and where they're going to be able to renew that from when it dwindles further. Sure, the likes of Greenbushes and PLS (stupidly) selling to them at either a loss or very small margins will keep them ticking over, along with dubious African supply and their own (highly polluting) lepidolite reserves, but for how much longer is that going to last?
I see a massive increase in demand for Li for BESS in particular this year, and increasing amounts of EV's being pumped out. Something has to give and lithium prices surely will go up this year. I'm holding tight (and accumulating) for the inevitable increase in spod prices and resultant SP re-rate.
