That’s another false claim of yours, because I simply wouldn’t say something like that, knowing it’s not true. As a mater of fact what I do keep on saying is, that a breakout should be accompanied by above average volume to confirm it.
During a trend volumes may and do change depending on what sort of wave is working out and where SP is situated within that wave.
In the example you posted (AVZ), I was explaining a diversion between a rising SP and falling volume. beisha interpreted this obvious diversion as a positive, when IMO it really pointed to a weakening of the relatively ST uptrend.
I guess with the benefit of hindsight it probably would be worth to check who was correct and if a correction did occur to correct the weakening ST uptrend.
