No one will know the price in years to come so we talk current prices. If some knew they would have locked in contracts in their favor, but in a matter of 18 months prices have risen 1,000%. Even Roskill was forecasting $1,392 in November 2021, that’s just 9 months ago which we adopted in the dfs) what we know is that supply will be in deficit and the deficit will grow from 2024 because it takes 5-8 years to build a concentrator from discovery, and if you add all the mines in development now they’re not enough to satisfy demand. Now ask yourself, if demand exceeds supply, what happens?
