I suspect that the Board is very fractured at the moment. Do you think that Edge woke up yesterday and thought gee "lets make an unsolicited bid for any company that someone has just taken 60% of, wow we have found it Oaks"! I suspect that they may have had an approach from or spoken with someone on the Board who is very keen to stay, before yesterday. The normal practice of you are going to make a bid is that you pick up the phone and call someone to discuss the likely changes before you waste nay resources.
