Why would the business group say retaining a number of tax brackets would prevent future changes? More likely it gives room to adjust each. Locking into a single tax rate for almost all workers does not give much room for fine tuning.
In any case I would have though the business councils would welcome that extra $30-$50 a week that 97% of us would get moreso than the $200 a week just a few would receive.
