6 locking latches on male and unsure if it is at both ends of tether but am guessing so.  Hot stab is on the male which will make for a interesting ride for a ROV ( or diver in shallow water)  on a release under strain.  I am guessing the subsea accumulator packs will actually have a hot point to remotely release the tether if ever required in future using water not hydraulic fluid rather than have to use a specialist ROV.  For test bed models I still see money spent when a off the shelf mechanical release would have been more than suitable as it is such shallow deployment and easy access.
