SHC must have a crapload of data and you can't discount the ability to use our current patients with cpulse as guinea pigs using changes in blood pressure drugs, cpulse on and off and also having their barroreceptors stimulated as a trial to get live human data on very sick patients probably in a later stage than teh intended market. It will possibly show just how wide the target patient range could become in terms of blood pressure , heart disease and blood flow conditions . All our existing patients will have complex medical issues so are a perfect test bed for trial to show rand new device is capable in assisting. That is a massive live headstart - equivalent to several years of creating and running animal trials IMO. The dream is that SHC has been collecting extra data in support this for a long period and it makes sense that they will have been collecting blood pressure data from the cuff as well as external measurements a , changes in medication for blood pressure and thinners and also with the various means of scanning for blood flows.

Look at the history of pacemakers and how later they have the option of defibrillators and the future possibility of 2 extra leads offering baro pulse to stop angina etc all with data recording on patient being downloaded monthly or at quarterly, annually visits just like existing pacemakers and specific data for any "events".

The simplicity of design and speed of these trials has me excited compared to the long haul of cpulse and the stuff up it's trial became. All parts of the device are knowns and exist along with implanting surgery is run o9f the mill simple . Leads exist for nerve stimulation just like they are doing for nerves in brain stimulation for epilepsy ,internal battery powered long life pacemakers and defibs have been around for decades with easy data downloads simply by a nurse and external reader and able to change software parameters.
