Secondly, pre-open announcements are submitted on the evening of the previous trading day, not when Mr Carr rolls out of bed, puts his slippers on and decides to fire off an email.

The best I suspect you'll get today, or any day in the near future, is an update on revenue and customers. Not an "announcement". Having said that, I wouldn't know - to suggest you do know, based on ridiculous assumptions, is folly.

Oh look..... we've gone down a few pips. On large volume too. That MUST mean a really negative announcement is due. At 234pm. I'm sure of it.
