I'm sceptical with the survey results, what sort of companies? size? participant numbers? I collected a bunch of data back in 2011 from the published accounts of 50 Chinese companies, some CEOs worked for free (albeit, they owned half the company) but the average of those deriving an income was ~$25k a year (probably a lot higher now, say $50k?)... I'd be gobsmacked if the real range for a CFO is $300-$400k. What sort of wages are you paying?
