I am not a short term trader. Most of the time, if not all of the time, I invest for the long term, and I am sure that a chart will not tell, nor guarantee me, with what a company share price will be in two or three years time and even longer.
Horses for courses.
To me, a chart is like someone going to the casino and gamble at roulette with all of those charts and numbers that people are using while thinking that they will win the next time around. The end result though, is that the house will always win.
Charts, from what I understood of them, are only based on some mathematical calculation just the same as the ones that punters are using while going to the casino. Nothing is certain, and one has to be lucky to strike it right. If it was 100% correct all of the time all of the people using them would be multy squillionaires that wouldn't be bothering wasting time telling others how good they are.
I personally have attended a meeting about someone wanting to promote his charting techniques and how good and reliable they were. But when I asked him as to why he was trying to make money in selling them to us attendees, when he could have made a fortune in using them himself, and why he found the needs of charging us money to buy them when he didn't need to if they were so good, he quickly closed the meeting, he packed up his bag and left.
Simply one more thing my friend.
To each his own.
