Eastern Iron might be safe for now. As they don't hold a granted Mining License, they wont be under scutiny. It's the wording in the Act, that puts them back under the microscope.

"The wording of the requirement that an application for an exploration licence “shall be accompanied by” in section 58(1) is identical with the words in section 74(1) that an application for a mining lease “shall be accompanied by” a mineralisation report".

From what I could gather from our conversation, no challenge will be made, under the current Native Title Act (or an amended one, if it ever gets amended) or by anyone, until after this Exploration Licence has been approved, Exploration commenced and Assay results (if any) have been determined. To play safe, some Companies have already decided not to run that risk and have reapplied for Mining Leases over their existing Granted Leases. EFE isn't at that stage yet. The Forrest drama happened in 2017 and is still ongoing.

Eatern has an application (E45/5728) for an ELA lodged and awaiting approval, sometime in Dec 2021. In the pic, that area is within the black lines. Also in that pic is a small mining operation by Curlew Mining (M45/1267). The Curlew Mine was referred back to Native Title on 14 Aug 2019, after the Forrest fiasco. It still hasn't been resolved to this date. Curlew is run by two ladies and also not in operation.
