Ok in Australia there aren't any ecn brokers that i'm aware of but gomarkets aus claim to be an stp broker meaning all trading orders are passed thru to the liquidity providers - banks. These brokers, as intermediaries between their clients and banks,receive prices (spreads) posted by the banks on the Interbank market.stp brokers don't trade against their clients and are probably the next closest thing to being an ecn broker as they don't run a Dealing desk.If you play around with the various brokers demo make sure you test for slippage and incorrect pricing and minimum requotes as well as their platform providing a back up feed.
