in my experience financial advisers and accountants are useless for stocks
only a broker has a feel for stockpicking - but 90% of them are dumb. they produce returns the same as a fund would.
the ones who arent generally dont work in retail broking.
there are share investor clubs. thats probably a place to start.
at least there you have people who have lost and made their own money.
