I think it depends what you want to trade ? if its just stocks and listed minis - You can get by with the live iress platform offered by most of the banks - I use ANZ its free if you trade 5 times per month otherwise its $50p/m - in addition I use the pro real time free end of day version as its a better chart program than what is included with web Iress - PRT have a live paid version but I havent used it
