cannot be bothered checking your comment, but in the back of watso's mind, you would have to live in it for a year, before renting out (something to do with capital gains tax, principle place of residence etc etc)
strongly suggest that you look into it a bit more carefully (before deciding on 6 months). perhaps others can comment
