Regardless of their smallish stake in TNG which really is hardly 'cornerstone' from a financial standpoint. I think that the SMS involvement regardless of the size of the shareholding is 'cornerstone' itself in the significance rather than a dollar value.

Ladies and gentlemen- as far as I am concerned that means the project is going ahead and we will be ground floor owners of the next big thing. Finance now is just a formality. Get ready to dig dirt

I can't agree with this more, LST! I think that it's a huge vote of confidence. Other than seeing an anny saying "SMS secures project finance from German ECA", this is a big confirmation that SMS will get Mt Peake from potential development to "opening up the ore body"! All in my opinion of course!!

It's all still a waiting game but there has never been so much riding on a successful EIS response until now! I say once the Mt Peake EIS is approved, things will kick up a gear.
