As at April 8th the following status report.
Note that this will be my last Top 40 update until I return from overseas in June.
Shares
1. Top 40 hold 446m or 71.6%. ( Last week they had 71.23%)
2. HSBC has increased its holding from 3.8m in Dec to 4.7m last week and now holds 8.3m. A show of confidence.
3. One private coy has increased its holding from 1m to 1.68m. Now at number 14.
4. National Nominees dropped another million shares, Citicorp Nominees half a million and Pan Aust Nominees dropped .4m.Minor changes to others.
Options
1. Top 40 hold 26.5m or 44.69%. Previously held 26.3m.
2. Only changes are at holders number 25-40. Five have increased by up to 200,000 options. One new holder with 350,000 options.
SUMMARY
Again it is disppointing to see some of the heavy weights lossing interest in the shares.
You require 275,000 options and 908,000 shares to appear on the Top 40 list.
