I agree fundamentals are extremely important for long term investors. And basic FA should be understood by all entering the market,..... to a certain degree.

Depending on what your trading style and strategy is, and which area of the market you are focussing will depend what tools you need to get the job done.

I think to be successful trading the market on a daily basis it is important not to conform with the ideal masses, i do respect FA, but i dont think the bigger players do, thus leaving most of my short term trading to TA.

In an honest ideal world, Fundamental Analysis would be beautiful. Though I think the market is just a numbers game, which in the next decade will evolve to who has the highest technology to attack and defend algorithms.

Keep an open mind, trade well.
