I understand your logic Investie.
I think the problem is people might continue if there's some perceived benefit (even grasping at hopeful straws) but in reality it's a placebo beneficial effect (not really due the properties of the 'drug' itself). This is why the statistical analyses are important. Of course I want the trials etc to succeed.
