    Couldn't agree more: no one should post nebulous rumours and I have have not. As it happens I didn't see Vagrancy HD's posting until Gucci pointed it out, but it is exactly the sort of contrived insinuation which undermines Hot Copper chat.

    In fact Starlink did sign an agreement with the US Dept of Defence in June so the Ukraine defence forces could use it, but a direct contract with the Australian Navy sounds like a step too far. DFAT's probably a different matter.

    As for Malaysia and LNS that's no big deal. Malaysian retail "landing rights" were granted three or four weeks ago according to the Spacelink website and it seems that it takes a few weeks before Starlink opens up a territory for selling of non-residential terminals. In December 2020 Netlinkz signed a distribution deal for the Naas software across Asia and when Netlinkz became a Starlink re-seller it said the objective was to distribute the software globally and that means one country at a time.
