I have had DOM on my watchlist for a while but have not bought in - I certainly don't know the company intimately but your I think snapshot assessment of the current state of play is not far from the mark.

It certainly could be very good value at these levels, but there is a risk it also could be bad value if the resource downgrade is worse than hoped for or there are issues with profitability below the fault line...
