ABC radio this morning
On the uranium front, the fed minister for mines and energy,Ian McFarlane, met with the NT mines and Energy minister, Kon Vasilikas, this morning giving him a letter outlining the fed govt advice of how the fed govt proposes to overule the Territories "no new uranium mines" position.
McFarlane was interviewed and said the Fed Govt was determined that the economic opportunity opened by new uranium mines would not be lost. The NT Chief Minister, Clare Martin, refused to meet with him hence his meeting with Kon.
