I subscribe to a financial magazine called Barrons over here in the US. This article dated 9/13/24 is titled "The Housing Market Won't Get Better- Even With Rate Cuts and Harris' Plan." Unfortunately, it is behind a pay wall but here is the meat of the article-

"One big hurdle is that new housing isn’t coming fast enough.
