I'm not a technical trader but I have dabbled with some technical trading strategies in the past.
The easiest way for me to see positive momentum building was whenever shorter term Moving Averages pass above longer term moving averages.
Back in the day, I felt the 8 and 21 day Moving Averages were the most predictive.
It seemed to work well enough on stocks with lower Volatility.
But of course, I never had any way of back-testing this trading strategy so who knows, even though it looked visually sound.

But to be honest, these days I'm more buying based on fundamentals.
It's less work, it's easier to compete with more sophisticated investors that have millions invested in cutting edge trading algos, etc etc.
I chose what I believe is a more winning game, rather than trying to compete with more sophisticated short term speculators.

No offence to you. I am happy you have found your niche doing what you do. Just putting my thoughts our there on TA vs Fundamentals.

Not investment advice. DYOR, etc. etc.
