Public definitely increases complexity and opportunity for expression of self interest, mischief and distraction. EEG learned the hard way. It’s a big waste of Company time and resources when people make the lenders uncertain about the business future by trying on a 249d. Maybe the US sale would have completed and we’d be at these levels sooner if the MD wasn’t trying to save the Company.
Thankfully for shareholders of EEG we seem to have got a motivated, knowledgeable CEO from Macquarie and they were supportive of his efforts to get rid of the debt hangover from the past strategies and put in place a interesting small strong credentialed Board to work together On the massive NT opportunity we all believed in.
Shareholders who voted the right way for stability have already been well rewarded for backing their plan. Long may it continue.
