XS Platinum

Charter Pacific is a seed shareholder in XS Platinum Inc, a producing platinum mine in Alaska.

The platinum mine is located at Platinum Creek on Goodnews Bay in Alaska and was established to mine tailings from a successful 1930?s to 1960?s platinum mining operation.

The current mining operation commenced in the 2009 mining season in order to prove up the quality and quantity of recoverable platinum which has met expectations.

The 2010 mining season is proving to be successful with the reconfiguration of the extraction plant to accommodate the first phase of up to date extraction equipment to significantly improve recoveries above those achieved in the 2009 mining season. It is expected to produce approximately 7,500 ounces of platinum from this phase one small scale plant in 2010.

It is anticipated that the phase two equipment will be assembled, commissioned and tested prior to the closure of the 2010 mining season and be ready for full scale production throughout the 2011 mining season and beyond.

The recovery of platinum is expected to be approximately 30,000 ounces per season from each plant assembled from 2011 onwards. It is expected that up to 4 plants will be operational by 2013 producing approximately 120,000 ounces of platinum per year. Platinum prices have steadily increased from $1,200 per ounce in September 2009 to over $1,660 per ounce by October 2010.
