Interesting proposition. Empires do come and go and fifteen years ago it looked as if economic power whould shift to North Asia, centred on Japan. Problem with your thesis is the Chinese are not really allies with anyone nor do they like religion in any form so I am not quite sure why others should look to them for there saviour. Plus China is still half a century behind the western world.
