Provided conflicts are not solved by all out warfare, the result of lesser nations coming into the industrialised world would be of benefit to all.The danger is not that the lesser nations turn beligerent, but that the leading nations try to protect their position by military or commercial might.I think this is happening now with the US in particular; being at the top for so long has given them a feeling of 'it is right'. The US is heading down the track of ignoring both their own laws and international laws, this is dangerous in the extreme as it gives an example that laws can be broken when it suits particular nations. Perhaps the power base in the US has become too narrow, not reflecting the masses and thus decisions draw the ire of the people in other parts of the world. The ones that suffer are those with little say in the decisions.
