Again, if you factor out the one small policy difference (COVID patients in nursing homes in Sweden), then those numbers drop down to comparable to the other Nordics. Changing the slope of the curve was good, initially, for ventilator reasons, etc... but the area under the curve will end up the same (i.e. number of cumulative cases or total cases over time), just a longer curve. There are other factors in a society to balance. Economy, education, other diseases going undiagnosed or untreated, depression, substance abuse, etc.... So the minimalist approach has its arguments. And, as noted, they are essentially done with the disease. Other countries are at earlier stages of the diseases process. Lets see what their ultimate numbers end up.
Another interesting stat, off topic, is Uganda's mortality numbers. Hint: this is a country where a huge chunk of the population is on hydroxychloriquine due to malaria. Also, the Belgian study. Of course, the sub rosa counter argument is "Orange Man Bad", so that'll get no traction! Ha!
