I had Metalstorm when they were quoted in the USA as well. Thought it would help for all the reasons cited but in reality, if a stock's business is poor, listing in a foreign country doesn't help. Conversely, if a business is strong (such as ESG) the investors will find it no matter where they are in the world.
Does anyone seriously believe that by listing in NY, one of the major American companies will say "Hey, here's a new one, let's look at this guy, never noticed him before, but now that's its listed on this insignificant 2nd-tier exchange, I might buy a few million". Large companies have people/units whose job it is to gather market intelligence.
Personally, the costs involved in listing there is a waste of money and probably more for the directors ego. Casey and his team are doing an outstanding job - they didn't really need to waste our money doing this
