That’s exactly how I read it too. The beauty of it all being that it is an alternative screening to FIT and typically before a colonoscopy. If the blood test comes back indicating something isn’t right then a colonoscopy would be required for sure. Colonoscopy still has its specific and very necessary role. However, as a first screen option, I think a blood test is very straightforward compared to the two alternatives - in terms of cost and practicality. I see the test as something as easy as checking cholesterol etc. If you’re cholesterol is high on a blood test then it’s off to the cardiologist for further more rigorous checking.
