IMO Recell isn't appropriate for this degree of burns. Its not clear how many will survive the burns to their airways and lungs, we're talking hot noxious gases and steam at up to 400 deg C. These victims have been cooked, literally, like something you would see in a horror movie.

So, yes, debride the burned dead tissue, work out what tissue is injured but will survive which may take a day or two, cover with BTM and hope the lungs and airway improve. Not to mention injuries from debris and blast. It wouldn't be a surprise if more patients do succumb. Even if they don't die, deeper tissues like muscles and tendons may well have severe damage, not to mention vasculature and nerves. Recovery is likely to take months to years and likely many irreversible injuries.

Recell? a long way down the recovery track, maybe. It has a more narrow spectrum of use that is being high-lighted here. Hype versus practical reality.
