KS,
it's not confusing, CCS (Composite Culture Skin) is manufactured by professor Greenwood's company Skin TE, which has a collaboration with Polynovo as they use Novosorb as the scaffold to grow the skin on, hence the term "Composite", because it is a combination of skin and Novosorb.
The skin, does not necessarily have to come from the victim in the short term, (just as cadaver skin is not from the victim) so it can be grown ahead of it being needed.
