South island is scenically great.Mind blowing drive from queenstown to Glenorchy.l loved the drive to Milford sound on a wet day (usually is, gets some massive amount of rain year , in the metres) Spectacular waterfalls forming over 100 metre cliffs on the way in, were more impressive to me than Milford sound itself.Did the overnight stay on a boat at milford thinking of a romantic intimate evening with the darl with a nice red pretending to listen etc but those damn kiwis insisted we had to share a table with others and all have "fun" together.
