newbie needs an answer

hi all, first of all i am new in the sharetrading world (12 months) i am invested in LCL and beleive that it has a bright future. I've been looking back on the charts of LCL i see that it has had a previous share price of over $500 when it first came onto the scene, i cant find any information as to why the price has fallen so far and was hoping someone more experienced could shed some light. my guess is there was a serious amount of extra shares put on offer diluting the price, but just a guess. if anyone with the knowledge could shed some light I'd appreciate, keen to know the answer.
im not asking because i am hoping for it ro return to such prices, I'd be happy to see the SP at 50c, just trying to understand. GLTAH
