VBA has over a billion shares of which around half would be subject to the Toll distribution.
Only 34 million were transacted on Friday which is less then 10% of the Toll distribution.
its not clear whether some prospective holders would have been allowed to sell "short" earlier in the week, on the assumption that the settlement of those trades could then have been done T+3 using shares from Toll delivered on Friday.
