There will be times it will get ugly, this can create a capital trap, particularly with speculative (HC) stocks.
You'll find people more then willing to tell you of big wins, but very rarely are people humble enough to broadcast their failures in public, and there will be failures...
Finally, don't get to complicated, a share will go up, down, or sideways. (and occasionally, be put under a halt..)
